Obituary of Terrence Robert Leitz

LEITZ- Terrence Robert (Terry), 71 died peacefully of natural causes while recovering from pneumonia on July 7, 2018. Born and raised in New Orleans, Terry embraced his adopted city, New York. He worked as a broadcast engineer at WWL New Orleans, NBC Burbank, WOR-TV, Reeves Teletape; and at CBS Television Network for over thirty years. He lived, loved, worked and played intensely. Survived by his wife, Lucille O'Brien Leitz; sister, Mary Ann Leitz, PH.D; children, Barbara Leitz Barnes and Robert Terrence Leitz; grandchildren, Blake Harris Barnes, Madison Barnes, Cameron Barnes, Robert Terrence (Beaux) Leitz, Jr. Lacey Leitz, Meghan Leitz McLeod; great grandchildren, Ayden Leitz, Rylee Leitz, McKenzie Leigh Leitz; father-in-law to Wilson H. Barnes, Esq. and Laryssa Larance Leitz; brother-in-law, Edward Spitz, M.D.; sister-in-law, Elaine G. Leitz; predeceased by his brother, Herbert S. (Sonny) Leitz and parents, Herbert James Leitz and Myrtle Agnes Lacey Leitz. Visitation on Thursday, July 12th, 3-5pm and 7-9pm at Greenwich Village Funeral Home, 199 Bleecker Street.
