Obituary of Constantine Philippas

Philippas Constantine "Gus," age 91, of New York City, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021. Gus started his own printing business at the age of 18 as the son of Greek immigrants. He then went on to NYU and received a Master's degree in Education and became a printing teacher and then later an administrator with the NYC Board of Education. Predeceased in death by his beloved wife Eleanor (Shea), his son Spyro and his son-in-law Nicholas Ingrassia. He is survived by his children Carol Ingrassia, Alexander and his wife Lisa-Ann, and Constantine N. and his wife Karen. Also survived by his grandchildren Vanessa and her partner Byron, Cassandra, Athena, Arianna, Gavin, Alexandra, Joseph, and Emma. Also survived by his great-granddaughter, Marisol Baltazar. The family will receive friends from 4 pm to 7 pm on December 2, 2021, at Greenwich Village Funeral Home.
