Without complaint, Judith continued to inspire us with her brave, sweet-spirited life. When, after a decade (!) an aggressive recurrence slowly took away her voice, so full of observations and support and encouragement for those beside her, she continued to reach out to sing (& to say “thank you”).

The loss of Judith’s radiant smile, grace, attentiveness & empathy leaves an aching empty space in so many lives.  (1/16/51-11/17/22)

Jill & Barbara; My sympathies to you & family. Met you both at Cloverdale Project in Nevada & some memorable reunions back in the '70s. Though I don't recall meeting Judy, her beautiful face & name jumped right out from from the NYT obits. The language you chose to describe her evoked the caring, questing nature I recall in both of you. The description of her life's work was also very moving to me. For 30-some years I worked in Education programs at the RI Arts Council and mixed w/ kindred spirits among the extraordinary tribe of teaching artists here. What an amazing world. I still live near Providence and would be glad to correspond at your discretion. Thinking of you fondly & reflectively; Dan Kahn
