Obituary of Laura Joan Folsom

On Wednesday, February 6, 2019, Laura Joan Folsom, passed away of natural causes in New York City, NY at the age of 46 years. Laura was preceded in death by her loving father, Alfred W Folsom, Jr. Laura is survived by her mother, Carolyn S Folsom of Greensboro, GA and brother Thomas Alfred Folsom of New York City, NY. Laura will also be forever remembered by her extended family and friend's and the many lives she impacted.
Upon graduating from the University of Georgia, Laura's career began in sales and marketing that took her across the country, from New Orleans to San Francisco, eventually becoming Senior Director and a driving force of the SAP events team.
Laura had an entrepreneurial spirit and was able to keep close ties to Athens, GA by starting Corporate Game Day and a supporter of Countdown to Kickoff.
Laura was also passionate about the fight against pediatric cancer and has been a board member of the Tyler Robinson Foundation.
Laura will be laid to rest in a private service next to her father, Alfred W Folsom, Jr, at the Oconee Hill Cemetery in Athens, GA.
