With profound sadness we announce the passing of Kathleen Walsh D'Arcy on July 18th 2026 at Memorial Sloan Kettering from complications of cancer. Kathleen had many titles: Irish American community organizer, social worker, Co-chair of the inclusive St Pat’s for All parade in Queens, NY, comrade, sister, aunt, godmother, partner, mother, grandmother, and friend to so many. Her family invites you to attend a wake at Andrett Funeral Home on Friday July 24th and a funeral Mass at The Church of St. Francis Xavier Saturday July 25th. Please find details below.

I volunteered with the St. Pats for All Parade beginning in 2014. Kathleen was a joy to work with. I thank her for inviting me to attend an Irish cultural concert on the Westside of Manhattan back in 2018. I also got to talk with her on a Friday night before the parade after leaving the Irish Cultural Center in Manhattan about the bad side of the CUNY Honors Program. My condolences to her family. She got things accomplished like no other activist in her community and across communities.
