Obituary of Anthony Russo

Russo, Anthony J., passed away on May 14, 2021, in Manhattan. He is the son of the late Joseph and Lena (Riccidone) Russo. Anthony was a lifelong resident of Lower Manhattan and was employed as an insurance broker throughout his career. He is survived by his sister, Camille Russo of Manhattan; and predeceased by his siblings, Delores Russo and Salvatore Russo. Loved by his devoted cousin, Raymond Battaglino and family.

Anthony was a respected and warmly regarded neighbor. I had the pleasure of serving with him on the Board of Directions at SBT for many years. I believe we all appreciated his loyal devotion to SBT, and our heartfelt condolences go out to his family

Very saddened to learn of Anthony Russo's passing. I was fortunate enough to know Anthony as a fellow Board Member and a neighbor. It is unusual to meet a person with uncompromising integrity in New York City. Deepest condolences to Camille and the Russo family. R.I.P. Robin Warshay

Tony was a remarkable man. I will always remember his kindness, curiosity, affectionate nature, and above all his deeply spiritual devotion. We shared a love of Centering Prayer and praying in silence with Tony was a a profound joy. I will miss him, until we meet again.
