Obituary of Ronald C. Keith

October 21, 2021

My brother Ronald (known to all his friends as Ron) was born March 21st, 1934 in Manchester, England when I was just 11 months old. From the very beginning, we were the best of friends and he was indeed the best brother in the world.

When we were very young the 2nd World War broke out and we were evacuated to Blackpool in Lancashire, England for 5 years where he attended his first school.

On return to Manchester Ron went to a local school before going to Manchester University where he graduated as an architect gaining a degree of RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects).

He had a year as an architect in London before going into the Royal Air Force (conscription). He then moved to Sacramento, California for two years. In 1963 he moved to Manhattan where he opened a travel agency. A few years later he left that job to do what he'd always wanted to do and became an actor. He had many happy years acting and reading on Recorded Books. He lived in Manhattan Plaza for the last 10+ years of his life.

He and I enjoyed daily Skype calls for many years and were always the closest of friends even though so many miles separated us. We met each year for a cruise and they were the happiest times of our lives. He will be very sadly missed by his many friends who have such beautiful memories to hold onto.
