Loving mother and devoted grandmother; DC 37 retiree, Theresa Diorio, 88, passed away on September 12, 2025. Born in New York, NY, to the late Frank and May (Lanz) Orlando, Theresa resided in Greenwich Village her whole life. Predeceased by her beloved husband Ronald Diorio. Theresa was predeceased by her brothers Nicholas, Peter, Robert and sister Carol. Theresa leaves behind her loving children, Ronald Diorio and wife Luisa of Hudson Heights NY, James Diorio of Forest Hills, NY and Marianne Vurro and husband John Vurro of Hazlet, NJ. She will be missed dearly by four adoring grandchildren, Caroline, Thomas, John and Ana. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation sent in Theresa’s name to St. Jude (www.stjude.org).

Theresa was one of my dearest friends. We grew up on the same street and lived for many years on N. Moore St. You could always count on her to be the friend you needed. She will be sorely missed. Rest in peace with Ronnie ???
