Obituary of Vera Reale

Vera J. Reale, 86, of New York City, NY, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025 at her home in Stuyvesant Town.

Vera was born on March 26, 1939 in New York City, NY to Virginia (Fiocco) Reale and Salvatore Reale.  Vera is survived by her sister Eleanor (Reale) Lavarello and was preceded in death by her brother Salvatore (Bobby) Reale and her parents Virginia and Salvatore Reale.  Vera was a beloved aunt to Elaine (Lavarello) Cipriani, Virginia (Reale) Russo and Robert S. Reale.  Vera was adored by her great niece Christine (Cipriani) Peters and her great nephew Robert A. Russo and her grand great niece Brielle Peters.

Vera spent her career at AT&T as a systems analyst, having worked her way up from secretary.  After retirement Vera devoted her time to the NYC Auxiliary police department where she attained the ranking of lieutenant.  Vera was also very involved in her local senior center.  Vera was truly a one of kind and was the face of a true, dedicated New Yorker.  She will be extremely missed by her sister, family and friends.
