Obituary of Patrick Truffier

January 20, 2022

Patrick Truffier was born to the late Charles and Clemence Truffier, a miner and a homemaker, in Brittany France on July 23 1958.

At an early age, he showed an interest in music and started playing drums.

His music interest became his teenage dream of coming to NYC and becoming a drummer for a rock band.

Soon after arriving in NYC in 1976, his Rock n Roll dreams came true. Patrick performed at world-renowned venues such as Max's Kansas City, The Mud Club, and CBGBs, sharing the stage with such iconic brands as New York Dolls, Dead Kennedys, and Blondie. He also auditioned for Cindy Lauper and got to know famous stars Hall and Oates, and David Bowie, with whom he shared a physical resemblance at the time.

Besides his love of music, Patrick was also a culinary wizard and successful chef at such village establishments as Pierre, Chez Jacqueline, and Provence.

Patrick was blessed with a small but loving family. He married Juni Damasco, the love of his life, on June 20th, 1989.

He was kind and softly spoken, a great friend, and always available to lend a helping hand.

Patrick is survived by his wife Juni Damasco, his cat Leo, and the many friends with whom he shared his unique joie de vivre.
