Obituary of Emiliano Leopoldo Cardoso de Mello Filho

Emiliano Leopoldo Cardoso de Mello Filho, 75, of São Paulo, Brazil, passed away on April 3rd, 2025, surrounded by his family, following a decade-long battle with cancer.
Born on May 2nd, 1949, in São Paulo, Brazil, Emiliano graduated from USP with a degree in Mathematics and worked in several positions both in Brazil and the United States. He was known for his extreme generosity, his willingness to help others, his big smile and being an extremely dedicated father and husband.
Emiliano is survived by his wife of 30 years Carla, his two sons Luca and Nicholas, his sister Zelia, his nephew Rodrigo and his niece Victoria.
His was preceded in death by his parents Emiliano and Auzelia Cardoso de Mello.

A memorial service to celebrate Emiliano’s life will be held on Saturday, April 12th, 2025 at St Thomas Moore Church at 10:00 am at 65 East 89th. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Emiliano’s memory.
Emiliano’s kindness, smile and willing to help others will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who knew him
