Obituary of June Shelp

Anna June Mueller Shelp, 73, passed away on February 10th, 2022, surrounded by family at her home in Manhattan.

June, as she was commonly known, was born September 21st, 1948, in Dallas, Texas, to Ruth and Michael Mueller.

June excelled academically, receiving degrees from the University of Texas and a Master's degree in economics from the University of Michigan.

June had an extensive career in New York City, serving as a Director of the NYS Housing Finance Agency and Vice President at The Conference Board.

Together with Ronald Shelp, her husband of 39 years, June applied a keen aesthetic eye to collecting art from the American South, as well as designing and executing an extensive renovation of her apartment. The collection has been on national tour and is the subject of the book Testimony; the apartment has been featured in design magazines.

June is survived by her two sons, Kent and Russell.
