Shaku had accomplished so much in her life, yet even in her early eighties, she was eager to accomplish more. She had a courageous, outgoing nature and a lively sense of humor. I especially admired her drive to fight discrimination against women. Shaku is certainly missed, but her voice lives on in all of her writings, both technical and personal.
