Obituary of Colette-Claudia Brown

March 8, 2023

In loving memory of Colette-Claudia Jodoin-Brown

The passing of our sister is a huge loss for all the members of our family. We are sad
that the pandemic, her health and the miles between us made impossible a family gathering
during the last three years. She was a creative soul and she expressed her gift in many fields,
especially in jewelry design. She was a passionate woman and every goal she was engaged in,
was from the bottom of her heart.
All the members of our family are sincerely thankful to her husband, Kevan, who shared
her life for 33 years. He was kind and faithful to her and he took care of Claudia with love and
devotion during the last weeks of her life.
We took comfort from the fact that she is not suffering anymore and that mom and dad
welcomed her in heaven.

Our little sister will live forever in our hearts.

The over thirty years of life I shared with Colette-Claudia (Jodoin) will be remembered because of and
for the love we had for each other. I greatly respected the courage with which my wife determined her
life. Following the path of a giving heart to learn, to learn by traveling and meeting people in their
countries. We shared many voyages in search for the gem of our dreams and found valuable,
unanticipated friends.
Our most precious excursions took us home, Coletteā€™s home, and being with dad and mom and brothers
and sisters, niece, nephews, great nieces and nephews whom she loved and who loved her. I was not a
stranger in their homes.
Claudia had much affection for my father and mother and was joyously welcomed in their homes in New
Jersey and Des Moines, Iowa. My two brothers share my sorrow.
Even though Claudia is no longer in the Earthly realm, the presence of her intelligence, sound advice,
sense of humor, challenging pretensions and the pretentious, defending the underdog and her love of
Truth and Beauty will remain as part of me.

In honored, loving memory of Colette-Claudia,

Kevan Lance Brown

My dear old friend Claudia. I'm so sorry to hear of your passing, God has gained an angel! I was not there to see you much in the last few years, life just took a turn. I will never forget you.... your love for Jewelry, your funky glasses, your love for NYC...especially the Village, your stories, your smile, your laughter, your love for the color green, your funky haircuts and red hair, your love of life, family in Montreal and your devotion to Kevan. I loved your French accent and most of all I loved your spirit. I loved walking into the office and seeing your welcoming face with a smile every time you saw me. I have been missing you for so long, but hearing of your passing makes me realize how much I wanted to see you again. I am certain that your mom, dad, sister, beloved brother-in-law and the many others who loved you were waiting open arms for you. RIP my dear Claudia, until we meet again. Forever your friend, Olga
