Obituary of Steven L. Booth

April 7, 2022

Steven L. Booth was born to the late Laurence & Vera Booth on August 28, 1960, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He departed this earthly life on Thursday, April 7, 2022. He received Christ and was baptized at an early age in the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
He enjoyed life, and his love for life didn't come to an end with his death. After a courageous and brave 10-year battle with cancer, he showed his amazing courage in facing life's adversities, difficulties, and challenges with a smile. He succumbed, at the age of 61, and will forever be remembered as a hero.

Steve received his High School diploma from Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids, IA. By the age of 18, he achieved a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. However, Steve possessed a strong love for acting which took him to California, and with his adventurous nature, even dared skydiving with his big brother. It was there that he met his future wife, Teresa, at the Hertz Corporation. It was love at first sight and they were together, married, till his transition 40 years later. They supported each other every step of the way.

He then moved to New York where he continued to pursue his desire to become an actor while still working at the Hertz Corporation. Steve was loved by all of his co-workers because of his humorous, comical, and entertaining nature. He studied at the famous HB Studio in Greenwich Village with respected acting teachers William Hickey and Geraldine Page. His pleasant personality, sense of humor, and charm were contagious to everyone he encountered.

Steve leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Teresa Small-Booth, step-daughter Alessandra Small, brother Don Booth, sisters Carolyn Doss and Laurinda Linderkamp, along with many nieces and nephews, uncles, and aunts.

Eternally surrounded by loved ones, who will continue to honor him by living life according to his words..."Be happy, very happy, stay strong" (Steven L. Booth)
